Treatment of another locust (false acacia) against aphids
test on the transmission of the vaccine by the roots

F day
A small acacia from a creeping root, the other
in the background also has aphids, it was not
treated to check whether the information of the vaccine
communicates by the roots, assumed to be common,
from one acacia to another
.

The other small nearby acacia, which came out spontaneously and surely stems from the same roots.
It therefore received no treatment.

But aphids, we don't see any more, only exuviae remain.

Ants and aphids but fewer aphids

F+7 = 8 day
On the 8th day since vaccination, the aphids disappeared from the largest acacia. Ants are still present because they participate in the invasion by aphids by transporting them to areas where there are not yet any. After vaccination, the plant protects itself throughout the active season.

The small acacia, not vaccinated, also got rid of aphids. Which would tend to prove that it came from the same tracing root and that the information passed from one tree to another. This is information only because the other acacia was vaccinated with a few drops (no spray mist so as not to get out of the area to be treated) of a product made from 4 aphids, greatly diluted, in other words an insignificant amount of active product.

And it can only be the information, certainly produced at the level of the leaves, which circulates in the plant and which triggers its lightning reaction against the bio-aggressor that it would not have detected without the vaccination.

This configuration of several plants from the same creeping roots is very rare in crops. This possibility has not been tested with the stolons of strawberries which connect several plants.
It would of course be interesting to analyze in detail the reactions in the plant at the time of vaccination, but these studies have not yet been carried out. However, we can enjoy the benefits of vaccination. In the following days, the large acacia, very affected by the attack of aphids, should be able to devote part of its sap to revitalizing its leaves.
To be continued .

New attack of aphids.
There are many species of aphids.
With vaccine treatment, many species are eliminated simultaneously, but sometimes a species is not eliminated because its specific saliva is not present in the vaccine. This is the case here, after the removal of the black aphids occupying the top of the leaves, it was not noted that other aphids, smaller, of brown color, were present under the leaves.
After the "big" black aphids were eliminated, the other aphids then settled on the leaves and on the stems. The problem was solved by applying a second treatment from the saliva of brown aphids which also disappeared in about ten days. Each vaccine treatment can be preventive and/or curative.

In case of curative treatment, it is necessary to wait for the decisive effectiveness for about ten days. The molecules contained in the saliva of two different species of aphids can be sufficiently distinct for the natural defenses of the plant to recognize only one, the one whose saliva made it possible to produce the vaccine.

It is relatively rare, a vaccine made with an aphid can be used on different plants, but it therefore happens that a second vaccine must be made to obtain complete effectiveness. The two vaccine products can be combined into a single vaccine.
When the vaccine is marketed, it will have to contain a suitable mixture for a large number of aphids which can be targeted by types of cultivated plants.

The action of the second vaccination can be seen,
the number of aphids decreases sharply.

F+23 day
There are no more aphids.
The ants have also left since they no longer have the honeydew
aphids, on which they feed.

Small branches begin to straighten.
Foliage has been slightly yellowed by aphid proofing
but it will resume its normal appearance.

F+30 day
The leaves turn green again and straighten up, everything is fine,
it is protected from aphids for the year.
